Whangamata is a beach town of approximately 4,000 permanent residents on the eastern coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, in New Zealand’s Waikato region. The town sits within the Thames-Coromandel District and is known for its stunning beach, excellent surf, relaxed lifestyle and strong community spirit.
