Via Paeroa & SH25 (Most Common)

Via Waihi & SH25

Hikuai Road
The Hikuai Road section of SH25A is the final stretch approaching Whangamata from the north-west. This winding road crosses the Coromandel Range and has some steep sections with hairpin bends. It is fully sealed but requires careful driving, particularly in wet conditions or if you are towing a trailer or caravan.
