New World Whangamata is situated on Port Road, the town’s main commercial strip. It is easily accessible on foot from most accommodation in central Whangamata, and has a large car park for those driving in from further out.

Tips for Visitors
During peak holiday season (mid-December through January), the supermarket gets extremely busy. Shopping early in the morning or in the evening will help you avoid the longest queues. The store restocks daily, but popular items like bread, milk and BBQ supplies can sell out on busy days.
If you are stocking up for an extended holiday, consider doing a big shop before you arrive in Whangamata — the nearest large-format supermarkets are in Waihi (30 minutes) or Thames (75 minutes). New World Whangamata is well-stocked for a town its size, but the range is naturally smaller than a city supermarket.
