Cinema Lane at 708 Port Road is built within the historic old Whangamata Cinema, an Art Deco building that originally operated as Hunt’s Beach Cabaret dance hall before becoming a movie theatre in 1967. Now home to Edisons, a bespoke events venue for weddings, private parties, conferences, comedy nights, and film screenings, as well as Camina restaurant.

While we are primarily a private events venue, our doors are open to the public for select performances, film screenings, and community markets.
