Blackies Cafe by the Beach is Whangamata’s only beachside cafe, located in Williamson Park directly behind the surf club at 418 Ocean Road. Open 7:30am to 2:30pm, the dog-friendly cafe serves Atomic coffee and an extensive menu with vegetarian and gluten-free options including gluten-free pizza bases and burger buns. All baking is made in-house alongside their own smoked salmon, and the outdoor seating area is popular with families who can let kids play in the adjacent park.
We are open seven days a week, from 7:30am until 2:30pm, making us the perfect spot for your morning coffee, a leisurely brunch, or a late lunch. Enjoy our food and award-winning Atomic coffee at our outdoor tables with your canine companion, or take a short stroll down to enjoy it on the sand. Ample parking is available in the Williamson Park car park directly adjacent to the cafe.
